The Opportunity:

As a Computing Teacher, you will play a key role in inspiring students and delivering high-quality education in computing. You will be responsible for ensuring students achieve their full potential through engaging and innovative teaching methods.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver the computing curriculum tailored to the needs of students across different age groups and abilities
  • Monitor and support the progress of all students, ensuring they meet their academic and personal development goals
  • Collaborate with the SENCo to provide appropriate support for students with special educational needs
  • Use a range of assessment strategies to track student progress and provide meaningful feedback
  • Maintain strong communication with parents and the wider community to support student learning
  • Plan and deliver homework and out-of-class activities that reinforce and extend learning
  • Promote and lead extracurricular activities, including after-school clubs and residential trips
  • Support the Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team in implementing school-wide initiatives
  • Manage and direct support staff within the classroom when necessary

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge and experience in computing
  • Ability to plan and deliver engaging lessons that meet curriculum requirements
  • Strong understanding of student assessment and progress tracking
  • Experience working with students with special educational needs
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred

  • Experience in using technology to enhance teaching and learning
  • Background in leading extracurricular activities or clubs
  • Experience with curriculum development and innovation in computing education
  • Familiarity with the latest trends and tools in computing education
