As a Midday Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring the safety, wellbeing, and positive behaviour of students during lunchtimes. This is an entry-level position ideal for those looking to start a career in education while making a meaningful impact on young people's lives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the safety, wellbeing, and care of students during lunchtime.
- Monitor and maintain acceptable behaviour, modelling positive conduct at all times.
- Build strong, positive relationships with students to support their development.
- Supervise students effectively and ensure a secure and welcoming environment.
- Support the school's mission of creating a positive learning culture and student-focused environment.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain a consistent and supportive approach.
- Assist in the implementation of school policies and procedures during lunchtimes.
- Encourage and promote positive interactions among students.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Experience working with young people in a school or educational setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain discipline and manage behaviour effectively.
- Commitment to student safety and wellbeing.
- Flexibility to work term-time only, Monday to Friday, 2 hours per day.
Preferred
- Previous experience in a supervisory or support role within education.
- Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
- Experience with behaviour management strategies.
- Understanding of school policies and procedures.
- Interest in developing a career in the education sector.
