The Opportunity:

As a Safeguarding Admin Assistant, you will provide essential administrative support to the safeguarding team, ensuring that all documentation is accurate, confidential, and compliant. This role is vital in maintaining the safety and well-being of students across the school.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide confidential and accurate administrative support to the safeguarding team.
  • Maintain up-to-date and secure documentation related to safeguarding procedures.
  • Liaise with key staff to ensure smooth internal operations.
  • Support the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) and Deputy Designated Safeguarding Leads (DDSLs) in their roles.
  • Ensure compliance with safeguarding policies and procedures.
  • Assist in the management of safeguarding-related communications and records.
  • Contribute to the overall effectiveness of safeguarding systems within the school.
  • Support the ongoing improvement of safeguarding practices and procedures.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Strong administrative and organisational skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Confident in handling confidential information.
  • Experience in a similar administrative role, preferably within education.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Preferred

  • Experience in a safeguarding-related role or understanding of safeguarding procedures.
  • Knowledge of education policies and safeguarding regulations.
  • Experience in using administrative software and systems.
  • Previous experience in a school or academy setting.
