MIS Operations Manager needed to lead MIS services and ensure data accuracy and compliance at a leading institution.

The Opportunity:

As an MIS Operations Manager, you will lead the Management Information Services team and ensure the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of college data. This role is pivotal in supporting student success, staff operations, and institutional growth, making it a key position for someone passionate about education and data management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the MIS Helpdesk and Timetabling functions, ensuring high service standards and resolving complex cases.
  • Ensure all college data meets funding agency requirements and is prepared for internal and external audits.
  • Coordinate curriculum reviews and course planning cycles with senior leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Audit timetabling information for 16–18 study programmes to ensure accurate recording of teaching activity for tutor pay.
  • Develop and document new procedures to improve college operations and provide training guides for non-MIS staff.
  • Support the Assessment and Examinations Team Leader in managing student registrations, exam conduct, and results notification.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience managing teams and driving performance in a busy operational environment.
  • Strong understanding of college curriculum structures and educational funding requirements.
  • Highly numerate with excellent attention to detail.
  • A degree or equivalent, ideally in an information management-related field.
  • Strong communication skills to build productive relationships across college teams.

Preferred

  • Experience with UNIT-e.
  • Experience in educational institutions or similar environments.
