The Opportunity:

As a Science Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality science education across a range of programs, including A levels, BTECs, and T Levels. You will inspire students, challenge them to achieve their best, and contribute to a dynamic and supportive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective science lessons to students across multiple qualifications and year groups.
  • Plan and develop innovative and industry-relevant science curricula that meet the needs of all learners.
  • Support students in developing technical and employability skills through real-world learning and employer challenge projects.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure consistent standards of teaching and learning.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely feedback to support learning and achievement.
  • Participate in the planning and delivery of continuing professional development (CPD) opportunities.
  • Maintain strong relationships with students, parents, and external partners to enhance student outcomes.
  • Contribute to the development of a supportive and inclusive school culture.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge and experience in Science education.
  • Experience teaching Science qualifications including A levels, BTECs, and T Levels.
  • Strong classroom management and teaching skills with the ability to engage and challenge all students.
  • Commitment to student progress and achievement with a clear understanding of curriculum requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience working with industry partners or in employer-led learning programs.
  • Familiarity with higher education and apprenticeship pathways.
  • Experience in developing and delivering CPD sessions for colleagues.
  • Knowledge of innovative teaching methods and technologies.
