The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver a stimulating and challenging Product Design curriculum, incorporating CAD/CAM, electronics, and 3D printing.
- Foster a culture of creativity, innovation, and practical problem-solving in students.
- Support students in achieving exceptional academic outcomes, including GCSE and A Level qualifications.
- Lead and contribute to the co-curricular programme, including the Product Design Club and Futures seminars.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the Creative Visual Arts and Technology Faculty to enhance interdisciplinary learning.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to students, helping them build strong design portfolios for university and career pathways.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and technologies, ensuring the curriculum remains relevant and cutting-edge.
- Participate in the school’s professional development opportunities and contribute to departmental planning and strategy.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Product Design or a related field.
- Strong subject knowledge in design and technology, including CAD/CAM and 3D printing.
- Experience in delivering GCSE and A Level Product Design courses.
- Commitment to fostering creativity, innovation, and practical problem-solving in students.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Preferred
- Experience with design thinking and STEAM education.
- Involvement in co-curricular or extracurricular design-related activities.
- Experience with the Arkwright Engineering Scholarship programme.
- Strong track record in student achievement and academic outcomes.
- Experience in supporting students with university and career applications.
