The Opportunity:

As a Motor Vehicle Trainer, you will deliver high-quality instruction in a range of Motor Vehicle Service and Repair courses, including PHEV and Electrical Vehicle training. This role offers the chance to shape the future of skilled professionals in the automotive sector while contributing to an innovative and supportive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and deliver training on Motor Vehicle Service, Repair, and related courses such as MOT Test and Air Conditioning.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of aspirational teaching, learning, and assessment strategies.
  • Maintain accurate records of learners’ progress and performance within the institution.
  • Support learners in developing the practical and theoretical skills required for success in the motor vehicle industry.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and developments to ensure course content remains relevant and current.
  • Promote equality, diversity, and inclusion within the learning environment.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to enhance the overall learning experience for students.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Level 3 or above in a discipline related to Motor Vehicle Service and Repair (or equivalent).
  • GCSE Grade C (4/5) in English and Maths.
  • Minimum 3 years of industry experience.
  • Up-to-date industry experience.
  • Understanding of equality, diversity, and inclusion in the workplace and learning environment.
  • Enhanced DBS check.

Preferred

  • Experience with teaching or training in a formal educational setting.
  • Knowledge of PHEV and Electrical Vehicle systems.
  • Experience with MOT Test and Air Conditioning procedures.
  • Commitment to professional development and continuous learning.
