The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Pipefitting Vocational Trainer to deliver engaging and effective training to apprentices. This role offers the chance to shape the future of learners and contribute to a school known for its innovative approach to education and strong industry connections.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Train and assess learners up to Level 3 in the workplace and at the college;
  • Support learner progress through assessment and curriculum delivery;
  • Ensure timely achievement of apprenticeship frameworks and standards;
  • Promote and safeguard the welfare of children and young persons in line with college policies;
  • Deliver training across multiple sites, requiring a full current driving licence and use of a car for business purposes;
  • Collaborate with industry professionals to ensure the curriculum remains current and relevant.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Assessor qualification (TAQA/A1 or equivalent) or willingness to work towards;
  • Industry relevant qualifications to a minimum of Level 3 (City & Guilds/NVQ or equivalent);
  • Knowledge of awarding body standards and requirements;
  • Experience of working in further education;
  • Up-to-date occupational experience;
  • Understanding of equality, diversity, and inclusion in the learning environment.

Preferred

  • PGCE or willingness to work towards;
  • Experience with apprenticeship frameworks and standards;
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
