The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Pipefitting Trainer and Assessor to deliver engaging training and assessment in pipefitting up to Level 3. This role is ideal for someone who is dedicated to developing learners and ensuring they gain the practical skills needed for a successful career in construction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality training and assessment in pipefitting to learners in both workplace and classroom environments;
- Support learners in achieving apprenticeship frameworks and standards in a timely manner;
- Assess practical skills, knowledge, and behaviours in line with awarding body requirements;
- Promote and safeguard the welfare of children and young persons in accordance with institutional policies;
- Work across multiple sites and ensure compliance with all health and safety standards;
- Maintain up-to-date occupational experience and industry knowledge;
- Support curriculum delivery and learner progress through continuous assessment.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Level 3+ vocational qualification in a relevant discipline;
- Minimum 2 years of industry-relevant pipefitting experience;
- Assessor qualification or commitment to obtain one;
- Understanding of awarding body standards and requirements;
- Experience of working in further education;
- Full current driving licence and use of a car for business purposes.
Preferred
- Experience with equality, diversity, and inclusion in the learning environment;
- Knowledge of safeguarding and Prevent policies;
- Experience in delivering training in a range of settings;
- Familiarity with modern teaching and assessment techniques.
