The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and talented Music Teacher to join our Prep School from September 2026. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire young musicians and lead a creative curriculum that nurtures confidence and musicality across a range of year groups.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach classroom music to Pre-School to Year 8 students
• Deliver a broad, creative, and inspiring music curriculum
• Accompany choirs and support concerts and examinations
• Collaborate with the Head of Prep Music to lead rehearsals and prepare pupils for performances
• Work with a wide range of ensembles, including choirs, orchestras, and bands
• Support the school's commitment to music through regular performances and productions
• Provide one-to-one instrumental, vocal, or theory lessons as a visiting music teacher

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Strong keyboard skills
• Experience teaching music in a school setting
• Ability to work with students of varying ages and abilities
• Commitment to the performing arts and music education
• Relevant qualifications in music or education

Preferred

• Experience in leading choirs or ensembles
• Experience with music examinations (e.g., ABRSM or Trinity)
• Experience in collaborative and large-scale productions
• Experience with instrumental or vocal tuition
• Background in a co-educational school setting
