The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and high-quality Music lessons to students across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
- Support the development and implementation of a curriculum that reflects best practice in teaching and learning.
- Contribute to the school’s extra-curricular programme, including music-related activities and events.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practice and innovate in teaching methods.
- Maintain high standards of behaviour and support the school’s commitment to a well-managed learning environment.
- Participate in professional development opportunities and contribute to departmental meetings and planning.
- Ensure that students are encouraged to reach their full potential through a stimulating and inclusive learning experience.
- Support the school’s mission and values, including a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Music education.
- Ability to teach across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
- Strong understanding of curriculum design and effective teaching strategies.
- Commitment to student progress and a positive learning environment.
- Experience in supporting extra-curricular activities.
Preferred
- Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language or working with diverse student populations.
- Familiarity with cognitive science and its application in teaching.
- Experience in a school with a strong focus on professional development and innovation.
