The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced MYP Humanities Teacher to join a dynamic and supportive department that has significantly improved student outcomes. This role offers the chance to inspire a love of learning and make a meaningful impact on students’ academic and personal development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging, and inquiry-based MYP Humanities lessons that align with the IB framework.
  • Foster a classroom environment that encourages critical thinking, creativity, and student autonomy.
  • Develop and implement assessment strategies that support student progress and achievement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to design and deliver a cohesive and innovative curriculum.
  • Provide pastoral care and support to students, contributing to their overall well-being and success.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities.
  • Contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular activities and events.
  • Monitor and report on student performance using data-driven insights.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A Bachelor of Education degree or equivalent with a teaching qualification such as PGCE, PGDE, or similar specialism in Humanities.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience teaching Secondary Humanities.
  • Strong understanding of the IB MYP framework and Approaches to Teaching.
  • Commitment to the IB Learner Profile values and philosophy.
  • Availability to start in August 2026.

Preferred

  • Experience teaching the IB Middle Years Programme or Diploma Programme.
  • Advanced qualifications in Humanities or related fields.
  • Experience working in a culturally diverse, international school environment.
  • Demonstrated success in improving student outcomes and engagement.
