The Opportunity:
As a Nursery Administrator, you will be the key support for the Nursery team, ensuring the efficient and welcoming operation of the Nursery. This role offers a varied and rewarding experience, with the chance to make a real impact on the lives of children and families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage Nursery enquiries, emails, and telephone calls
- Welcome parents, visitors, and prospective families with a friendly and professional approach
- Support admissions, tours, and family onboarding processes
- Maintain accurate child records, registers, and databases
- Assist with invoicing, funding queries, and Nursery fee administration
- Organise communications, events, and parent meetings
- Support recruitment administration, including managing adverts and interviews
- Order food and supplies for the Nursery Kitchen
- Work closely with the Nursery Manager and wider School admin team
- Provide occasional reception cover within the main School
- Support drop-off and pick-up arrangements on a rota basis
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
- Friendly, professional, and confident with people
- Experience in administration and customer service
- IT confident and comfortable using office systems
- Ability to manage priorities in a busy environment
- Positive, flexible, and a strong team player
Preferred
- Previous experience in a school, nursery, or childcare setting
- Admissions or finance administration experience
- Recruitment administration experience
- Experience using MIS or nursery management systems
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive salary of £26,500 – £30,000 FTE (pro rata, depending on hours and experience)
