The Opportunity:

As a Nursery Administrator, you will be the key support for the Nursery team, ensuring the efficient and welcoming operation of the Nursery. This role offers a varied and rewarding experience, with the chance to make a real impact on the lives of children and families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage Nursery enquiries, emails, and telephone calls
  • Welcome parents, visitors, and prospective families with a friendly and professional approach
  • Support admissions, tours, and family onboarding processes
  • Maintain accurate child records, registers, and databases
  • Assist with invoicing, funding queries, and Nursery fee administration
  • Organise communications, events, and parent meetings
  • Support recruitment administration, including managing adverts and interviews
  • Order food and supplies for the Nursery Kitchen
  • Work closely with the Nursery Manager and wider School admin team
  • Provide occasional reception cover within the main School
  • Support drop-off and pick-up arrangements on a rota basis

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
  • Friendly, professional, and confident with people
  • Experience in administration and customer service
  • IT confident and comfortable using office systems
  • Ability to manage priorities in a busy environment
  • Positive, flexible, and a strong team player

Preferred

  • Previous experience in a school, nursery, or childcare setting
  • Admissions or finance administration experience
  • Recruitment administration experience
  • Experience using MIS or nursery management systems

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive salary of £26,500 – £30,000 FTE (pro rata, depending on hours and experience)
