The Opportunity:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Occupational Therapy Technician to join our team on a part-time basis. This role offers the opportunity to support students through therapeutic interventions and contribute to a dynamic, inclusive school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist Occupational Therapists in delivering therapeutic programmes and interventions
• Support students with physical and medical needs through hands-on therapeutic activities
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to improve student outcomes
• Ensure safe and effective manual handling practices are followed
• Promote a calm and nurturing environment for all students
• Participate in training and professional development opportunities
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and interventions
• Support the implementation of individual care and education plans

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Experience working with children and young adults
• Some understanding of manual handling and safe moving practices
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary or multi-agency team

Preferred

• Previous experience in a special school or paediatric therapy setting
• Knowledge of therapeutic techniques and interventions for students with physical or learning needs
• Experience with students who have Autism Spectrum Condition
