The Opportunity:

A school is seeking a passionate and dedicated Drama Teacher to join its team. This role offers the chance to inspire and engage students in a dynamic and supportive educational environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality drama education to students aged 11-18.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and innovative drama lessons that align with the school’s curriculum and student needs.
  • Support students in developing their confidence, creativity, and performance skills.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to plan and deliver cross-curricular projects and events.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance.
  • Participate in staff development and professional learning opportunities.
  • Contribute to the wider school community through extra-curricular activities and events.
  • Uphold the school’s values and commitment to student wellbeing and safety.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports in line with school policies and procedures.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in drama education.
  • Strong knowledge of drama theory and practice at Key Stage 3 and 4.
  • Commitment to student wellbeing and safeguarding.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and students.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching drama at A Level.
  • Involvement in extra-curricular drama activities or productions.
  • Experience with ECTs (Early Career Teachers) or mentoring.
  • Familiarity with the school’s values: Commitment, Courage, and Compassion.
