The Opportunity:
We are seeking a dedicated Site Assistant to join our team and contribute to maintaining a clean, safe, and secure environment for students and staff. This role is essential in supporting the smooth running of the school and ensuring the premises are well-maintained and compliant with all standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in maintaining a clean and safe environment across all school premises and grounds.
- Support the Premises Manager with practical tasks such as moving furniture and setting up rooms for activities.
- Conduct compliance checks and carry out general repairs and maintenance as required.
- Act as a keyholder, responsible for unlocking and locking the school premises and ensuring the security of the site.
- Assist with lettings on weekends and during school holidays, including ad-hoc shifts as needed.
- Work flexible hours, including some weekend and evening shifts, to support the school’s operational needs.
- Collaborate with the site team to ensure the smooth running of the school throughout the year.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Experience in a similar role, preferably within an educational setting.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to health and safety standards.
- Reliable and punctual, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with keyholding and site security procedures.
Preferred
- Previous experience in a school or educational environment.
- Knowledge of basic maintenance and repair tasks.
- Experience with compliance checks and health and safety protocols.
- Flexibility to work across different areas of the school and adapt to changing priorities.
