The Opportunity:
As a Nursery Nurse, you will be instrumental in providing high-quality care and support to young children in a stimulating and safe environment. You will work closely with the Early Years team to promote play-based learning and ensure the emotional, social, and physical development of each child.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support and supervise young children in a safe and engaging environment.
- Promote play-based learning and encourage the development of key skills.
- Collaborate with other members of the Early Years team to deliver a consistent and nurturing approach.
- Monitor and support the individual needs of each child.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and stimulating learning environment.
- Communicate effectively with parents and colleagues to ensure continuity of care.
- Participate in the planning and delivery of activities that support child development.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and safeguarding procedures.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Relevant qualifications in early years care or equivalent experience.
- Experience working with young children in a nursery or educational setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team and take responsibility for individual tasks.
- Commitment to safeguarding and child protection.
Preferred
- Experience with play-based learning approaches.
- Knowledge of child development and early years education.
- Experience in a school or educational setting.
- First aid and paediatric first aid qualifications.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive salary between £21,050 - £23,000.
