The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated KS1 Teaching Assistant to support the learning and development of young students. This role plays a vital part in creating a positive and stimulating classroom environment that encourages academic and personal growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the class teacher in delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences.
  • Assist with the planning and preparation of resources and activities to support student learning.
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to students to help them reach their full potential.
  • Monitor and support students' progress and behaviour, ensuring a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other staff to promote student wellbeing and achievement.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate regularly with the teaching team.
  • Contribute to the organisation and running of school events and activities.
  • Uphold the school’s values and culture through positive role modelling and professional conduct.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience working with children in a school or educational setting.
  • A commitment to supporting the holistic development of young learners.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing demands.
  • A positive and proactive attitude with a strong sense of responsibility.

Preferred

  • Previous experience as a teaching assistant or in a similar role.
  • Knowledge of the KS1 curriculum and teaching methods.
  • Experience with behaviour management and inclusion strategies.
  • Familiarity with educational software and tools.
  • A relevant qualification such as a Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive salary range of £27,000-£30,000 per annum.
  • Term-time only working hours (08.00 - 17.15).
