The Opportunity:

As a Nursing Lecturer, you will play a key role in the launch of a new Adult Nursing T Level programme, delivering high-quality teaching to 16-18 year olds in a state-of-the-art facility. This is a unique chance to shape the future of nursing education and support learners in their journey towards healthcare careers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging practical and theoretical sessions on the Adult Nursing T Level and other programmes.
  • Lead and support the development of innovative and high-quality teaching resources.
  • Collaborate with NHS partners and the Industry Placement Team to ensure authentic healthcare practice is integrated into the curriculum.
  • Monitor and track learner progress, maintaining accurate records and supporting learners through assessments.
  • Provide pastoral support as a personal tutor, attending meetings and communicating with parents and guardians.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and attend team meetings to ensure the programme remains current and effective.
  • Engage in continuous professional development, including industrial placements and training opportunities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A relevant degree in Nursing or a Healthcare discipline.
  • A PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience working in the nursing or healthcare sector.
  • Successful teaching experience on vocational or academic programmes in healthcare.
  • Commitment to working with students from diverse backgrounds and abilities.
  • Strong classroom management and administrative skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively under pressure and to deadlines.
  • Commitment to equality, diversity, inclusion, and safeguarding.

Preferred

  • Knowledge of chemistry and/or biology to Level 4.
  • Experience in curriculum development.
  • Recent experience teaching T Levels and/or BTEC to a range of levels and age groups.
  • Ability to use technology to enhance teaching and learning.
