Summary:

Operations Manager sought to lead and manage school operations and support services.

The Opportunity:

As an Operations Manager, you will provide strategic leadership across the school’s business and operational functions, ensuring a safe, well-maintained, and responsive school environment that supports teaching and learning. This role is ideal for a proactive and flexible individual who thrives in a dynamic and evolving setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee the school’s administration, health and safety, first aid provision, and PFI estate.
  • Ensure all services are delivered efficiently, compliantly, and in line with Trust policies and procedures.
  • Drive high standards across operational services and manage staff effectively.
  • Maintain strong relationships with contractors, particularly within a PFI environment.
  • Ensure a safe and supportive school environment that promotes teaching and learning.
  • Support the school in meeting its strategic and operational goals.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to implement and monitor operational policies and procedures.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in a senior operational or managerial role within an educational setting.
  • Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
  • In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations and procedures.
  • Experience in managing complex contractor relationships, particularly in a PFI environment.
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work flexibly and adapt to the changing needs of the school.

Preferred

  • Experience in managing large-scale school estates or PFI projects.
  • Familiarity with educational Trust structures and policies.
  • Experience in delivering high-quality support services across multiple departments.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with all levels of the school community.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive salary range of £36,043 – £40,772.
  • Permanent contract with term time plus 10 days of annual leave.
  • 36 hours per week working schedule.
