The Opportunity:

As a Technology Technician, you will play a key role in supporting the Technology Departments, including Art, D&T, and Food Science. This is a chance to contribute to a well-organised team and help shape the curriculum and student experiences in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Technology Departments with day-to-day operations and maintenance.
  • Assist teachers and support staff in the delivery of Technology-based lessons and projects.
  • Maintain and manage equipment and resources in Art, D&T, and Food Science.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and enhance the curriculum and student engagement opportunities.
  • Participate in working parties, CPD groups, or wellbeing committees as appropriate.
  • Ensure a safe and well-organised working environment for students and staff.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to students and teachers as needed.
  • Contribute to the development of new initiatives and projects within the Technology departments.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience in a Technology-related role or similar environment.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

Preferred

  • Previous experience in a school or educational setting.
  • Experience with Art, D&T, or Food Science equipment and processes.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a school environment.
  • Experience in curriculum development or support.
