The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and inspirational Part-Time Chemistry Teacher to join our Science department. This role offers the opportunity to teach A Level Chemistry, BTEC Applied Science, and potentially T Level in Science. The successful candidate will be an active and innovative educator, committed to inspiring learners and delivering outstanding teaching and learning experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach A Level Chemistry and BTEC Applied Science to a range of students.
- Deliver engaging and innovative lessons that promote active learning and student engagement.
- Support students in achieving their academic goals and preparing for higher education and future careers.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share teaching resources and strategies.
- Participate in the school’s digital innovation strategy to enhance student learning through technology.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support learning outcomes.
- Contribute to the development of the Science department and its curriculum.
- Engage in staff development and training opportunities to enhance teaching practice.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in Chemistry and Applied Science.
- Experience teaching A Level Chemistry and BTEC Applied Science.
- Strong classroom management and teaching skills.
- Commitment to student success and motivation.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and contribute to departmental goals.
Preferred
- Experience with T Level in Science.
- Familiarity with digital teaching tools and strategies.
- Experience with safeguarding and promoting student welfare.
- Previous experience in a sixth form or post-16 education setting.
