The Opportunity:

A Part Time Chemistry Teacher is needed to join a dedicated Science Faculty. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Chemistry lessons to students from KS3 to A-Level.
  • Develop and implement engaging and innovative teaching strategies.
  • Maintain up-to-date subject knowledge and apply best practices in teaching and learning.
  • Contribute to the planning and delivery of co-curricular activities.
  • Support the school’s ethos and commitment to student welfare and academic success.
  • Manage classroom environments effectively and promote positive student behaviour.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the Science Faculty’s overall performance.
  • Provide pastoral support and guidance to students where appropriate.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant degree in Chemistry or a related subject.
  • Proven experience teaching Chemistry from KS3 to A-Level.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a commitment to continuous professional development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a classroom effectively and encourage student engagement.
  • Experience in using ICT tools for teaching and learning.

Preferred

  • Experience in co-curricular or extra-curricular activities.
  • Familiarity with the UK education system and curriculum requirements.
  • Experience with behaviour management and inclusion strategies.
  • Knowledge of science-related competitions or enrichment programs.
