As a Physical Education Team Leader, you will play a key role in shaping the school’s PE department. This is an opportunity to lead, inspire, and develop a team of passionate educators, while delivering high-quality physical education that supports student health and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the PE department, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning.
- Develop and implement effective PE strategies and programs that align with school goals.
- Support and mentor PE staff, providing guidance and professional development opportunities.
- Supervise and ensure the safe management of boys’ changing rooms as part of the role.
- Collaborate with other departments to integrate PE with broader school initiatives.
- Monitor and evaluate student progress and engagement in PE.
- Promote a positive and inclusive culture within the PE department.
- Ensure compliance with safeguarding and health and safety policies.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience in teaching and leading PE at a secondary level.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to deliver high-quality, engaging PE lessons.
- Experience in developing and managing effective teaching resources and strategies.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.
Preferred
- Experience in leading and developing a PE department.
- Experience with curriculum development and assessment in PE.
- Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language (if applicable).
- Experience in working with diverse student populations.
