The Opportunity:

As a Chaplain, you will lead and develop the Church of England ethos of the school, providing spiritual guidance and support to students and staff. This role is ideal for an ordained Church of England priest who is passionate about fostering a Christian faith and practice within a diverse and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop the Church of England ethos in collaboration with the Head Teacher.
  • Facilitate collective worship and Church services across the school.
  • Provide pastoral support to students and staff within the school's existing pastoral framework.
  • Create opportunities for spiritual, moral, social, and cultural development for students and groups.
  • Maintain a Christian perspective on all aspects of school life, working with students, staff, and parents.
  • Establish and maintain links with the wider community.
  • Teach a subject at Key Stages 3–5, with the potential for a full-time role if additional teaching commitments are undertaken.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Ordained Church of England priest.
  • Experience in leading and developing a Church of England ethos in an educational setting.
  • Strong commitment to pastoral care and spiritual development.
  • Ability to facilitate collective worship and Church services.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching at Key Stages 3–5.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Experience in working with diverse communities and promoting inclusivity.
