Part Time SEN Teaching Assistant job in Wilmslow, Cheshire. Support students with autism and special needs.

The Opportunity:

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with autism and special needs. You will help create a safe, nurturing environment that promotes learning, independence, and personal growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support pupils with learning activities and care needs
  • Encourage independence and positive behaviour in students
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils to ensure they feel safe and valued
  • Assist teachers in delivering a broad and engaging curriculum
  • Adapt to the diverse needs of students and remain flexible in your approach
  • Promote the wellbeing and personal development of students
  • Collaborate with teachers and other staff to support educational goals
  • Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • GCSEs in Maths and English (Grade C/Level 3 or above)
  • Experience working with SEN students (paid or voluntary)
  • Understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies

Preferred

  • Level 2+ qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
  • Knowledge of SEN, SEMH, or ASD
