The Opportunity:

As a Payroll Administrator, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll services across multiple schools. This position is ideal for someone who is highly organised, detail-driven, and passionate about supporting a growing education organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and process payroll for multiple schools within the Trust.
  • Ensure accurate and timely payment of salaries and benefits.
  • Maintain up-to-date payroll records and resolve discrepancies promptly.
  • Collaborate with HR and finance teams to ensure compliance with payroll regulations.
  • Support the implementation of new payroll systems or processes.
  • Provide clear and timely communication with staff regarding payroll-related matters.
  • Monitor and report on payroll data to ensure transparency and accuracy.
  • Assist with the onboarding of new employees and manage payroll changes.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in payroll administration, preferably within the education sector.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and reporting.
  • Knowledge of payroll software and systems.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Preferred

  • Experience working within a multi-academy trust or similar educational organisation.
  • Familiarity with LGPS and other employer pension schemes.
  • Experience with hybrid working arrangements and flexible working environments.
  • Understanding of educational sector-specific payroll requirements.
