The Opportunity:
As a Payroll Administrator, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll services across multiple schools. This position is ideal for someone who is highly organised, detail-driven, and passionate about supporting a growing education organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and process payroll for multiple schools within the Trust.
- Ensure accurate and timely payment of salaries and benefits.
- Maintain up-to-date payroll records and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Collaborate with HR and finance teams to ensure compliance with payroll regulations.
- Support the implementation of new payroll systems or processes.
- Provide clear and timely communication with staff regarding payroll-related matters.
- Monitor and report on payroll data to ensure transparency and accuracy.
- Assist with the onboarding of new employees and manage payroll changes.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience in payroll administration, preferably within the education sector.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and reporting.
- Knowledge of payroll software and systems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Preferred
- Experience working within a multi-academy trust or similar educational organisation.
- Familiarity with LGPS and other employer pension schemes.
- Experience with hybrid working arrangements and flexible working environments.
- Understanding of educational sector-specific payroll requirements.
