The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support pupils in upper key stage 2 with targeted learning and pastoral care.
  • Assist teachers in delivering high-quality, engaging lessons.
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with additional needs.
  • Monitor and record student progress and behaviour.
  • Contribute to the development of inclusive and stimulating learning environments.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to ensure consistent teaching and learning standards.
  • Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to enhance professional development.
  • Promote positive behaviour and a safe, respectful school environment.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience supporting pupils in upper key stage 2.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to the school’s values of respect, kindness, and inclusion.
  • Basic understanding of child development and educational support.

Preferred

  • Previous experience working with children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
  • Experience in a school or educational setting.
  • Qualifications in education or related fields.
