The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and adaptable PE, Geography and Science Teacher KS3-KS4 to join our team. This role is primarily focused on PE, with the opportunity to also teach Geography and Science. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting pupils’ academic, physical, and personal development in a small, inclusive setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and inclusive PE lessons tailored to the needs of students.
- Teach Geography to KS4 and Science to KS3, where applicable, following the National Curriculum.
- Support the academic, physical, and personal development of students with a range of learning needs.
- Adapt teaching methods to meet individual learning styles and requirements.
- Collaborate with colleagues to create a supportive and structured learning environment.
- Promote wellbeing, resilience, and participation among students.
- Monitor and assess student progress in line with school standards.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of individual education plans.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with QTS or equivalent.
- Experience teaching PE at KS3-KS4 level.
- Ability to teach Geography to KS4 and/or Science to KS3.
- Strong understanding of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
- Commitment to inclusive education and student wellbeing.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
- Experience working in a SEND setting.
- Knowledge of SpLD and ASD support strategies.
- Familiarity with bespoke education approaches.
- Experience with curriculum planning and delivery in a small class environment.
- Passion for promoting physical activity and healthy lifestyles.
