Join a dynamic team of educators dedicated to inspiring the next generation of scientists. As a Science Teacher, you will play a key role in preparing students for GCSE and beyond, contributing to an innovative and ambitious curriculum.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Science lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Develop and implement engaging and challenging Science curricula aligned with the National Curriculum.
  • Support students of all abilities through differentiated instruction and targeted interventions.
  • Monitor and assess student progress using a range of assessment strategies.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and enhance teaching and learning.
  • Participate in professional development and contribute to the continuous improvement of Science education.
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance and provide regular feedback to students and parents.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages curiosity and scientific inquiry.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A good degree and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience teaching Science to at least Key Stage 4.
  • Strong understanding of the National Curriculum and recent curriculum developments.
  • Ability to motivate and engage students across a range of abilities.
  • Experience with effective assessment, recording, and reporting of student learning.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and self-improvement.
  • Alignment with the school’s ethos and values.

Preferred

  • Experience in a multi-academy Trust or similar educational setting.
  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language (TEFL) or supporting students with special educational needs.
  • Experience in leading or contributing to curriculum development initiatives.
  • Experience with the DfE’s ‘The Golden Thread’ or similar teacher training programs.
