The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality science lessons to students across Key Stages 4 and 5, including A Level and vocational courses.
- Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that engage and challenge students of all abilities.
- Monitor and assess student progress, using data to inform intervention and support.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and continuously improve teaching and learning.
- Support the school’s commitment to innovation in science education and pedagogy.
- Participate in department meetings focused on professional development and refining teaching methods.
- Engage with students in a positive and supportive manner, promoting a love of science and learning.
- Contribute to the school’s mission of raising attainment and ensuring every student reaches their full potential.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and recent UK teaching experience.
- Ability to teach science to students across a range of abilities up to A Level.
- Strong classroom management and planning skills.
- Demonstrated experience in raising student attainment through effective assessment and intervention.
- Passion for inspiring young learners and a commitment to professional development.
Preferred
- Experience in teaching within a multi-academy trust or similar educational setting.
- Background in teaching within an international or diverse student group.
- Experience with vocational science courses or A Level teaching.
- Leadership experience or interest in developing leadership skills.
