The Opportunity:

As a PE Teacher, you will play a key role in inspiring students to develop a lifelong love of sport, fitness, and healthy living. You will deliver high-quality lessons that promote participation, teamwork, and wellbeing, while contributing to a dynamic and collaborative department.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging and impactful PE lessons across a range of sports and extra-curricular activities
• Teach a broad and balanced curriculum, including practical and theoretical elements
• Support students to achieve their full potential across a range of physical activities
• Promote participation, teamwork, and wellbeing in all lessons
• Apply behaviour policies consistently and assertively to maintain a calm and purposeful environment
• Contribute to extra-curricular sport and enrichment opportunities
• Support students with diverse needs, including EAL, PP, and SEND learners
• Take responsibility for coordinating resources and activities for a history month

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Qualified teacher with experience in Physical Education
• Confident in teaching KS3 and KS4 PE
• Ability to deliver practical and theoretical lessons effectively
• Strong understanding of behaviour management strategies
• Commitment to professional development and training
• Experience working with EAL, PP, and SEND learners

Preferred

• Experience in teaching at KS5
• Willingness to contribute to the wider life of the school
• Experience in coordinating extra-curricular activities
• ECTs are welcome to apply
