The Opportunity:
As a PE Teacher, you will play a key role in inspiring students to develop a lifelong love of sport, fitness, and healthy living. You will deliver high-quality lessons that promote participation, teamwork, and wellbeing, while contributing to a dynamic and collaborative department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging and impactful PE lessons across a range of sports and extra-curricular activities
- Teach a broad and balanced curriculum, including practical and theoretical elements
- Support students to achieve their full potential across a range of physical activities
- Promote participation, teamwork, and wellbeing in all lessons
- Apply behaviour policies consistently and assertively to maintain a calm and purposeful environment
- Contribute to extra-curricular sport and enrichment opportunities
- Support students with diverse needs, including EAL, PP, and SEND learners
- Take responsibility for coordinating resources and activities for a history month
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in Physical Education
- Confident in teaching KS3 and KS4 PE
- Ability to deliver practical and theoretical lessons effectively
- Strong understanding of behaviour management strategies
- Commitment to professional development and training
- Experience working with EAL, PP, and SEND learners
Preferred
- Experience in teaching at KS5
- Willingness to contribute to the wider life of the school
- Experience in coordinating extra-curricular activities
