Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging, impactful RE lessons aligned with the curriculum
- Support the wider Catholic life of the school through active participation in related activities
- Deliver consistently high standards of teaching and behaviour across KS3 and KS4
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and support each other
- Implement strategies to support all students, including those with EAL, PP, and SEND needs
- Take ownership of professional development and training opportunities
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of centralised, pre-planned lesson resources
- Ensure a calm, positive learning environment that promotes student progress and achievement
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in Religious Education
- Strong subject knowledge for KS3 and KS4 RE
- Confidence in using a consistent and assertive behavioural policy
- Ability to plan and deliver high-quality lessons
- Commitment to working collaboratively within a team
Preferred
- Experience with supporting students with EAL, PP, and SEND needs
- Familiarity with Catholic education and values
- Experience in a high-performing school environment
- Up-to-date with current teaching strategies and methodologies
