The Opportunity:

The Head of Netball will lead the development and delivery of a dynamic netball programme, supporting student progress across all three schools. This role is ideal for experienced teachers and netball specialists looking to make a significant impact in a forward-thinking department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the netball programme, ensuring high-quality coaching and player development.
  • Deliver an innovative curriculum that supports pupil progress and engagement.
  • Participate in midweek and weekend fixtures, training, competitions, and tours.
  • Collaborate with the SpEx Leadership team to enhance departmental performance and strategy.
  • Support the development of staff through training and professional growth opportunities.
  • Engage with the wider school community through events, showcases, and co-curricular activities.
  • Ensure the effective use of the Mallinson Sports Centre and its facilities for netball and other sports.
  • Contribute to the planning and delivery of summer sport programmes.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Significant experience in coaching netball at a high level.
  • Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to lead a team.
  • A proven track record in delivering successful sporting programmes.
  • Experience in teaching and curriculum development within a school environment.
  • Commitment to student welfare and holistic development.

Preferred

  • Experience in delivering summer sport programmes.
  • Familiarity with high-performance pathways in sport.
  • Experience in working within a co-educational independent school setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings.
