The Opportunity:

A school is seeking a passionate and dedicated PE Teacher to join its thriving Physical Education department on a part-time basis. The role offers the chance to inspire students of all abilities, promote a love of sport, and contribute to a dynamic and well-supported department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and dynamic PE lessons that support pupils of all abilities.
  • Promote high standards of participation and achievement in a positive and inclusive environment.
  • Support competitive sport by coaching school teams and attending fixtures and training sessions.
  • Contribute to the development of a broad and ambitious sporting programme.
  • Work collaboratively with a team of experienced PE staff and a PE Assistant Sports Coach.
  • Utilise on-site and off-site facilities to deliver a varied and high-quality PE curriculum.
  • Encourage confidence, resilience, and sportsmanship in pupils through competitive fixtures and events.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience of teaching PE and Games in a primary or preparatory school setting.
  • A willingness to support competitive sport, including coaching and attending fixtures.
  • Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Preferred

  • Experience in coaching school teams or working with pupils in a sporting context.
  • Knowledge of core sports such as netball, football, cricket, and swimming.
  • Experience in delivering lessons that promote both physical and personal development.
