Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality PE lessons that promote confidence, resilience, and a lifelong love of sport.
  • Lead and develop the school’s extra-curricular sports programme, including netball, hockey, cricket, and football.
  • Support students in both GCSE and A Level PE qualifications.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a holistic approach to student development.
  • Promote inclusivity and innovation within the PE department.
  • Encourage participation and engagement in physical activity across the school community.
  • Contribute to the development of the school’s sports facilities and programmes.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of students during all physical activities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in PE.
  • Strong knowledge and enthusiasm for netball, hockey, cricket, and football.
  • Experience in delivering both academic and practical PE lessons.
  • Commitment to the holistic development of students.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and contribute to a collaborative culture.

Preferred

  • Experience in leading extra-curricular sports programmes.
  • Experience with GCSE and A Level PE.
  • Passion for promoting physical activity and sport among young people.
  • Familiarity with the latest PE teaching methods and technologies.
