A school is seeking a passionate and dedicated Physical Education Teacher (Netball Specialist) to join its vibrant Sports Department. The role involves delivering high-quality PE lessons and playing a key role in developing the school’s netball programme. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the sporting and co-curricular experiences of students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and high-quality Physical Education lessons across all year groups.
  • Develop and lead the school’s netball programme, including coaching and competitive fixtures.
  • Support the school’s broader sporting and co-curricular programme, encouraging participation and performance.
  • Promote a culture of teamwork, fitness, and enjoyment of sport among students.
  • Collaborate with other teachers and staff to enhance the overall student experience.
  • Provide pastoral support and guidance to students where appropriate.
  • Monitor and assess student progress in PE and sport.
  • Contribute to the planning and delivery of extracurricular activities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge and experience in Physical Education.
  • Strong experience in netball coaching and player development.
  • Proven ability to deliver engaging and inclusive PE lessons.
  • Commitment to the holistic development of students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Preferred

  • Experience working in an independent or Catholic school environment.
  • Experience with the UK education system and curriculum requirements.
  • Strong leadership and organisational skills.
  • Experience in co-curricular or extra-curricular programme development.
  • Passion for sport and student wellbeing.
