The Opportunity:
A school is seeking a passionate and dedicated Physical Education Teacher (Netball Specialist) to join its vibrant Sports Department. The role involves delivering high-quality PE lessons and playing a key role in developing the school’s netball programme. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the sporting and co-curricular experiences of students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and high-quality Physical Education lessons across all year groups.
- Develop and lead the school’s netball programme, including coaching and competitive fixtures.
- Support the school’s broader sporting and co-curricular programme, encouraging participation and performance.
- Promote a culture of teamwork, fitness, and enjoyment of sport among students.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to enhance the overall student experience.
- Provide pastoral support and guidance to students where appropriate.
- Monitor and assess student progress in PE and sport.
- Contribute to the planning and delivery of extracurricular activities.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge and experience in Physical Education.
- Strong experience in netball coaching and player development.
- Proven ability to deliver engaging and inclusive PE lessons.
- Commitment to the holistic development of students.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Preferred
- Experience working in an independent or Catholic school environment.
- Experience with the UK education system and curriculum requirements.
- Strong leadership and organisational skills.
- Experience in co-curricular or extra-curricular programme development.
- Passion for sport and student wellbeing.
