The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver engaging Performing Arts and Drama lessons that meet curriculum requirements and inspire student creativity.
- Support the school’s commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all students.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the quality of teaching and learning across the department.
- Participate in the planning and delivery of extracurricular activities related to Performing Arts and Drama.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support learning and development.
- Contribute to the school’s values and ethos by modelling respect, responsibility, and a positive attitude.
- Engage with parents and carers to support student achievement and well-being.
- Stay up to date with developments in Performing Arts education and incorporate new ideas into teaching practice.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Performing Arts and Drama.
- Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and assessment requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and child protection.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Preferred
- Experience in delivering Performing Arts and Drama at Key Stage 3 and 4.
- Experience with drama production or performance.
- Experience in working with students with diverse needs.
- Experience in leading or contributing to extracurricular activities.
