Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver engaging Performing Arts and Drama lessons that meet curriculum requirements and inspire student creativity.
  • Support the school’s commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all students.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the quality of teaching and learning across the department.
  • Participate in the planning and delivery of extracurricular activities related to Performing Arts and Drama.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support learning and development.
  • Contribute to the school’s values and ethos by modelling respect, responsibility, and a positive attitude.
  • Engage with parents and carers to support student achievement and well-being.
  • Stay up to date with developments in Performing Arts education and incorporate new ideas into teaching practice.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Performing Arts and Drama.
  • Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and assessment requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and child protection.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Preferred

  • Experience in delivering Performing Arts and Drama at Key Stage 3 and 4.
  • Experience with drama production or performance.
  • Experience in working with students with diverse needs.
  • Experience in leading or contributing to extracurricular activities.
