Summary:

Personal Assistant to the Headteacher – Support the Headteacher with administrative and secretarial duties.

The Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly organised Personal Assistant to provide essential administrative support to the Headteacher and senior leadership team. This role is central to ensuring the smooth operation of the Headteacher’s office and supporting the school’s mission to deliver excellence in education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the Headteacher’s diary, including scheduling and rescheduling meetings and appointments
  • Coordinate and manage correspondence, including emails, letters, and reports
  • Take minutes of meetings and ensure accurate documentation is maintained
  • Liaise with parents, external agencies, and senior colleagues as required
  • Process and manage confidential documents with discretion and professionalism
  • Provide administrative support to the Deputy Headteacher and senior leadership team
  • Handle incoming and outgoing calls with a high level of professionalism
  • Assist with research, data analysis, and report writing as needed

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in a senior administrative or secretarial role
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience in a school or educational setting is highly desirable

Preferred

  • Experience of working with senior leadership or in a school environment
  • Knowledge of educational policies and procedures
  • Experience in managing confidential information
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines consistently
