A Science Technician is needed to support the school’s post 16 Science department. This role involves working with the science team to help students succeed through practical learning and development. Key Responsibilities:

• Support the science team in delivering high-quality practical learning experiences to students.
• Maintain and manage science equipment and resources to ensure they are safe and functional.
• Assist in preparing and setting up practical experiments and demonstrations.
• Provide guidance and support to students during science practicals and lessons.
• Collaborate with teachers to ensure all practical work aligns with curriculum requirements.
• Keep accurate records of equipment usage and maintenance schedules.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance science teaching and learning.
• Contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Relevant qualifications or experience in science or a related field.
• Strong understanding of practical science equipment and techniques.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.

Preferred

• Experience working in a school or educational setting.
