The Opportunity:
We are seeking an ADT Technician to support the Art and Design & Technology departments in maintaining and managing practical resources and facilities. This role is essential in ensuring that students receive the best possible support to meet the practical needs of the ADT curriculum.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the use of practical resources and facilities across the Art and Design & Technology departments.
- Provide assistance and advice to teaching and support staff in meeting the practical needs of the ADT curriculum.
- Ensure the well-organised storage of materials, equipment, and artwork.
- Maintain efficient and tidy organisation of ADT classrooms and areas.
- Encourage, motivate, and inspire students through active support in their learning.
- Liaise with teaching and support staff outside the department to ensure smooth operations.
- Uphold the school's ethos that all students can achieve and succeed.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Background in Art, Design and Technology.
- Maths and English to GCSE Grade 4 or equivalent.
- Ability to manage and store materials, equipment, and artwork in an organised manner.
- Commitment to student achievement and a positive learning environment.
- Strong references demonstrating suitability and safety to work with children.
Preferred
- Experience working in a school or educational setting.
- Experience with teaching or supporting students in Art and Design & Technology.
- Knowledge of curriculum delivery and practical resource management.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
