The Opportunity:

As a Teaching Assistant, you will support students in the classroom and assist teachers in managing pupils and learning. This role is essential to ensuring a positive and productive learning environment for all students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support teaching staff in the delivery of lessons and classroom management.
  • Assist students in accessing learning and completing tasks effectively.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other staff to enhance student engagement.
  • Provide individualised support to students with additional needs where required.
  • Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment for all pupils.
  • Contribute to the development of lesson plans and resources under the guidance of teachers.
  • Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to teaching staff.
  • Participate in staff meetings and professional development activities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience of working with young people.
  • Strong numeracy and literacy skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Commitment to student welfare and safety.

Preferred

  • Previous experience in an educational setting.
  • Experience with special educational needs.
  • Knowledge of teaching strategies and classroom management techniques.
