The Opportunity:

A school is seeking a dedicated Physics Teacher to join its Senior School team and deliver a curriculum that encourages critical thinking and real-world application. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about science and eager to inspire students of all abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Physics to students across Grades 6 to 12, delivering a curriculum that promotes conceptual understanding and scientific inquiry.
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with international standards, including the IB Diploma Programme.
  • Foster a stimulating and inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and independent learning.
  • Contribute to the pastoral care of students, typically through form tutoring and participation in the co-curricular programme.
  • Support the school’s mission by encouraging intellectual curiosity and a love of learning in students.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the quality of teaching and learning across the department.
  • Provide feedback and guidance to students to support their academic and personal development.
  • Stay up to date with developments in the field of Physics and integrate innovative teaching methods into the classroom.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject expertise in Physics.
  • Experience teaching Physics at the Senior School level (Grades 6 to 12).
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for the teaching of Physics.
  • Ability to inspire and engage students of all abilities.
  • Commitment to contributing to the pastoral and co-curricular life of the school.
  • Familiarity with international curricula, particularly the IB Diploma Programme, is desirable.

Preferred

  • Experience working in an international school environment.
  • Background in curriculum development or leadership within a teaching department.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with technology integration in the classroom.
