The Opportunity:

A school is seeking a passionate and qualified Science Teacher to teach across Key Stages 3, 4, and potentially 5. This role offers the chance to inspire students, develop innovative lessons, and contribute to a vibrant educational community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective Science lessons that promote conceptual understanding and real-world application.
  • Support students of all abilities, fostering a love of learning and scientific inquiry.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of the Science curriculum, including preparation of schemes of work and assessment materials.
  • Act as a form tutor and participate in pastoral care, ensuring the well-being and personal development of students.
  • Engage in co-curricular activities, supporting the school’s wide range of extracurricular programs.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning across the department.
  • Attend staff meetings, professional development sessions, and school events.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in Science (Biology, Chemistry, or Physics).
  • Proven experience in teaching Science at Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills.
  • Commitment to pastoral care and student well-being.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to the school’s co-curricular program.

Preferred

  • Experience with international curricula, particularly the IB Diploma Programme.
  • Demonstrated ability to inspire and motivate students of diverse abilities.
  • Experience in leading or contributing to curriculum development.
  • Strong background in Science education and a passion for the subject.
