Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Physics to students across all key stages, ensuring high academic standards and engaging learning experiences.
- Deliver lessons using a range of teaching and learning strategies that cater to diverse learning needs.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of the BTEC Applied Science curriculum where applicable.
- Support the pastoral life of the school and participate in extra-curricular activities.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the quality of teaching and learning.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support continued development.
- Stay up to date with developments in the subject and incorporate new ideas into teaching practice.
- Maintain accurate records and report student progress to parents and guardians.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in Physics.
- Experience teaching Physics from Year 7 to A level.
- Strong understanding of effective teaching and learning strategies.
- Commitment to student welfare and pastoral support.
- Ability to work as part of a team and contribute to the school's extra-curricular programme.
Preferred
- Experience in delivering BTEC Applied Science qualifications.
- Familiarity with modern teaching technologies and resources.
- Experience in a co-educational setting.
- Leadership experience or willingness to take on a leading role in the department.
