The Opportunity:
As a Teacher of Business, you will play a vital role in shaping the academic and personal development of students aged 10-18. The role involves delivering high-quality Business education at both A Level and BTEC, while inspiring and motivating students to achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and innovative lessons in Business at A Level and BTEC
- Promote a collaborative and inclusive learning environment
- Develop and maintain high academic standards through effective planning and preparation
- Support students in achieving their best through individualised and group-based learning
- Work closely with colleagues to continually improve and update the Business curriculum
- Manage classroom behaviour and create a positive, motivating atmosphere
- Contribute actively to the co-curricular life of the school
- Provide pastoral support and guidance to students as required
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Strong subject knowledge in Business, including A Level and BTEC
- Experience in teaching and delivering Business curriculum at relevant levels
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage and motivate students effectively
- Strong organisational and planning skills
- Commitment to the pastoral care and overall development of students
Preferred
- Experience in developing and updating Business curricula
- Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language
- Background in Initial Teacher Training or professional development
- Involvement in co-curricular activities or leadership roles
