We are seeking a passionate and experienced Physical Education Teacher to join a dynamic school with a strong sporting tradition. The role involves delivering high-quality PE and Games lessons, coaching elite athletes, and contributing to a vibrant co-curricular programme. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and high-quality Physical Education lessons across IGCSE and A Level curricula.
- Coach high-level sport in core activities such as Rugby, Hockey, Football, and Cricket.
- Promote a collaborative learning culture and maintain high standards in the classroom.
- Support the development of students across a full range of abilities within the PE and Games programme.
- Motivate and inspire young learners to achieve their best in sport and physical activity.
- Plan and prepare effective lesson materials and resources.
- Manage classroom behaviour and create a positive learning environment.
- Contribute actively to the co-curricular life of the school.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Physical Education and Games.
- Previous experience coaching high-level sport in at least one of the core activities.
- Strong subject knowledge of classroom-based Physical Education.
- Experience working with elite athletes and delivering sessions across varying ability levels.
- Excellent planning and preparation skills.
- Ability to manage classroom behaviour effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
- Experience with IGCSE and A Level Physical Education curricula.
- Background in initial teacher training or professional development.
- Experience in a co-curricular or pastoral environment.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and students.
