The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Physical Education Teacher to join a dynamic school with a strong sporting tradition. The role involves delivering high-quality PE and Games lessons, coaching elite athletes, and contributing to a vibrant co-curricular programme. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and high-quality Physical Education lessons across IGCSE and A Level curricula.
  • Coach high-level sport in core activities such as Rugby, Hockey, Football, and Cricket.
  • Promote a collaborative learning culture and maintain high standards in the classroom.
  • Support the development of students across a full range of abilities within the PE and Games programme.
  • Motivate and inspire young learners to achieve their best in sport and physical activity.
  • Plan and prepare effective lesson materials and resources.
  • Manage classroom behaviour and create a positive learning environment.
  • Contribute actively to the co-curricular life of the school.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Physical Education and Games.
  • Previous experience coaching high-level sport in at least one of the core activities.
  • Strong subject knowledge of classroom-based Physical Education.
  • Experience working with elite athletes and delivering sessions across varying ability levels.
  • Excellent planning and preparation skills.
  • Ability to manage classroom behaviour effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience with IGCSE and A Level Physical Education curricula.
  • Background in initial teacher training or professional development.
  • Experience in a co-curricular or pastoral environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and students.
