The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Physics lessons to students from Year 7 through to A Level.
- Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies that promote student engagement and academic success.
- Support the school’s mission by contributing to extracurricular activities and initiatives within the wider Sherborne Schools Group.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the Science curriculum and share best practices.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support learning and development.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to maintain and enhance teaching expertise.
- Contribute to the pastoral care and overall well-being of students.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student performance and attendance.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a degree in Physics or a related subject.
- Relevant teaching experience, ideally within an independent or selective school setting.
- Strong subject knowledge and the ability to teach across the full age range.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
Preferred
- Experience in leading or contributing to extracurricular Science activities.
- Familiarity with the Sherborne Schools Group and its educational philosophy.
- Experience with curriculum development and assessment strategies.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
