Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and innovative English lessons that meet the needs of all students
  • Support students in achieving the highest possible academic outcomes
  • Develop and implement effective assessment strategies
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and resources
  • Participate in the wider life of the school, including extracurricular activities and staff events
  • Contribute to the pastoral care and well-being of students
  • Stay up to date with curriculum developments and educational research
  • Maintain accurate records and report on student progress

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience or ECT status
  • Strong subject knowledge in English
  • Commitment to student welfare and inclusive education
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Preferred

  • Experience with teaching at 11-16 age range
  • Experience with pastoral care or student support
  • Familiarity with innovative teaching methods
  • Experience with using technology in the classroom
