The Opportunity:
As a Plumbing Teacher Assessor, you will play a vital role in ensuring apprentices meet industry standards through assessment, feedback, and support. This position offers the chance to contribute to the success of learners and employers, while working in a high-performing institution with a strong focus on professional development and inclusivity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess apprentices’ knowledge, skills, and behaviours through observation, questioning, and portfolio reviews.
- Provide constructive feedback and tailored support to help apprentices achieve their goals.
- Act as the key liaison between apprentices, employers, and external organisations.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations throughout the apprenticeship process.
- Foster strong partnerships with employers to support apprentices’ progress and success.
- Monitor and evaluate apprentices’ progress to ensure they meet required standards.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to assessments and feedback.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of apprenticeship training programs.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A relevant teaching and/or assessor qualification.
- Proven experience in apprenticeship training and assessment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with apprentices, employers, and external organisations.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of learners.
Preferred
- Experience in the plumbing industry or related field.
- Knowledge of apprenticeship frameworks and standards.
- Experience with assessment and quality assurance processes.
- Familiarity with industry-specific tools and equipment.
